Engineering Irishman
Plan of Pointed Cill [sic] and Recess of Combined Locks; ca. 1828 by Col John By, R.E. Rideau Canal, Long Island on the Rideau River, August 1830 by J.P. Cockburn. The central figure is dressed in the distinctive fashion of the Irish immigrants who worked on the canal.
