This panorama of the waterfront in Merrickville was taken during Canalfest. From left to right we see some of the stone buildings of downtown Merrickville, the lower gates of the upper lock, the Blockhouse, Blockhouse Park and The Depot, the retail outlet and interpretive centre of Friends of the Rideau. Boats are proceeding into the lock, in preparation for being "locked down".
