World Canals Conference 2008
Talk slides

(viewable/downloadable)

The 2008 World Canals Conference was held in Kingston Ontario, from September 14 to 17, 2008. Hosted by Parks Canada, the theme for the conference was “Managing Canal Corridors in the 21st Century”.

The conference featured Canada’s Rideau Canal, highlighting canal management, stewardship and heritage presentation issues. And, as a "world" conference, it also featured talks from speakers around the globe.

The talks, as they were presented at the conference, are listed below. Where available, the notes/slides for each talk, as provided by the speaker, are included as a viewable/downloadable Adobe PDF file PDF. These PDFs can be read by Adobe Reader v.6 or above. The current version of the free reader is available from Adobe's website
